I wish I had a million chances to get into nursing school, beacause I am sure that it will take a million and one. Whoever said don't give up has not been rejected for the past 7, yes 7 years. You name it I have applied to RN and LPN schools. I would give anything yes anything to have a job with decent pay, opportunities, and respect. My GPA is good, I work full time in another not so great healthcare job, and casually as a Nursing Assistant. I work for the experince not the money. I am willing to move where ever I can get in IF that were to ever happen, and even live in my car if that's what it takes. To those acepted your the lucky ones. To those rejected, maybe we are in the same boat, not likely. Yeah maybe next year, the war will end, maybe researchers will cure a deadly disease or cancer, maybe next year less students will apply, one can dream right?
i did not say the are they are all the same. i said they are competative. Some technical colleges are a part of the CC districts and as such have the same really high standards. That might not be the same in your area, which might be where the misperception lies.
Naturally each state is different. For instance, in my state EVERYONE who completes the required steps is accepted. I encourage the OP (if she hasn't already) to look into alternatives which may include a technical college. She may have better luck there.
Hi all,Thanks for replies and suggestions. I live in Minnesota where students on average apply 3 or more times to the same college, technical or otherwise. I will be meeting with a program director next week to discuss the matter at hand.
Best of luck to you. I hope you get this worked out soon.
