Ok what's wrong with this

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

I just want to get my ADN right now. I know there's quite a few BSN graduates (what with UNLV's BSN program) where I live. Here's my thing. If I already have a BA degree (in bus. mgt.) and I couple that with my ADN do I still need to have a BSN for grad school if I decide to go that far?

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that you generally need a Bachelor's in Nursing to get accepted into a graduate nursing program. I'm aware of two exceptions:

Some schools have "direct entry" RN-MS programs in which you get into the program as an ADN RN and work straight toward an MSN (sometimes receiving a BSN on the way).

Also, University of Maryland has a Clinical Nurse Leader program that is specifically designed for those with Bachelor's degrees in other fields. I'm not sure how many other schools have similar programs.

Why don't you look for a BA to BSN program for nurses that already have a bachelors in another major. The combo of business and nursing will make you an attractive candidate for administrative positions. I think Rutgers has one if you are in the area.
