Hello everyone, Please help,help,help!!!!
I have applied to Regis college Accelerated Nursing program, fall 2017 and I was called in for an interview as well! I am quite positive about it, but I really want an insight into the program from the current students/alumni.
Please, advice on the educational quality and everything?
Is it worth it?
I am confused between Curry college, Simmons and Salem state University?
Please share your experiences.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am not from your neck of the woods but I feel like I have something useful to say. I think you should have done your research prior to applying to this college. Now that you applied and got invited for an interview, the least you can do is attend. Besides, this will be a great opportunity (since you really want to know about this school) is to see it with your own eyes: speak to some of the admissions' personnel, college professors and, perhaps, current students. Now that you are scheduled for an interview, think about how you will present yourself. Make sure you go well-prepared. Remember, it is not all about selling yourself, it is also about buying the product. Remember, whoever will interview you will need to make sure you are the right buyer of their program; that is, you have to show them why you are worthy of the seat. With that said, research the school to the best of your ability; make it play in your favor.
Good luck!

What's confusing you? Curry is in Milton, Simmons is in Boston, and Salem State is in Salem. They're all good. While you're at it, take a good look at the excellent co-op program at Northeastern, also in Boston.
If you're old enough to be looking at colleges, you're old enough to take this process in hand. Looks like it's time for you to hit the Internet tonight and look up all those schools. Take notes.

Thank you guys for such a prompt response and thanks for the wishes!
I did do some research on the internet and all I have read are mixed reviews.
I know all of these colleges are good in their own way.
I really like Regis but it's very disheartening to read negative comments about the program and so I thought of taking advice/opinions from people out there in the field itself.
@AliNajaCat Yes, I know about the Northeastern's program and it was my no.1 choice until I learned that the program is only eligible for citizens/green card holders.
Thanks once again guys and have a good one.
Mmmm, are you sure the others don't have the same requirement? Good luck.

I understand how you may feel about applying to this program having heard some negative things. I am having similar reservations. I have had 5 schools in mind to apply. Every single one of them has had something negative to be said. This leaves me with no school to apply to! What I realized is, I am the one to make the decisions and no matter how bad a school is (based on subjective opinions of others) I will make it work and have the blast. I suggest you do the same!
@AliNajaCat
Yes, I am sure.
Thanks.

Well said!
Yes, even I feel the same and in the end it's up to us to make the best out of what we have.

I've applied to Simmons as well. They have an amazing reputation in Boston. And there nclex pass rate in always in the high 90th percentile. Not sure about the other programs.
But i was accepted to Regis. I did my research as well, but I have heard and read a lot about there facility being outdated especially their nursing program which is crazy to me seeing that they are known for nursing. In my opinion I don't think that based on the price tag it's worth it compared to simmons college. I also was very disappointed to learn Regis nclex scores have been very low the last I think two or three years. In my opinion that goes to show the structure of the program maybe not as great.

Thread moved for best response.
Have you looked at UMass Boston, Lowell, Amherst, Dartmouth? Have you looked into Fitchburg State?
Have you checked the MA website that has the BON NCLEX pass rates?
