Regis College/Lawrence Memorial Early Decision for Fall 2011 Accelerated BSN/MSN

Published

Hey! Just wondering if there are other people out there who have applied for early decision at Regis College in Weston Mass for 2011.

I seem to be checking this on a daily basis now and haven't seen any postings for the Accelerated BSN/MSN for fall 2011. Had my interview the week before Thanksgiving, all my application materials were confirmed prior to the December 6th deadline.

If you have or haven't heard anything, would be nice to know I'm not the only one checking this! :)

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed! Regis is my number 1 choice!

Hey Hiking78,

I am also waitlisted and was wondering if you know how many are on the waiting list??

Hey Hey!

I don't know how many there are actually. I know it is not a numbered wait list though. Hopefully some spots open up and we're the only 2 on the wait list! haha...

I know it sounds silly, but its actually the only school I applied to...Regis has been incredibly professional with the entire admissions process, and I am impressed with a number of things the school has to offer. It's really where I want to be. It worked when I applied for my undergraduate degree because I loved the school and its where I saw myself, so maybe second time around?! :D

They said up until August that we could be pulled off the wait list, although it might be a slight challenge for me in getting settled moving all the way from California. But I love the Boston area, grew up in Concord, so it would be great to attend school there and settle down!

Hope they are sending out our acceptances in the next couple weeks! According to previous threads some wait list people heard about 2 weeks after regular acceptances were sent out. I'm sure that it varies year to year.

Stay positive!

Hey Regis Waitlisters!

Have you gotten off the waitlist yet? I am still waiting to hear about my application being re-reviewed. Good Luck!

Hey Simlyn12,

I was accepted from the waitlist on March 12th.

I would encourage you to stay in touch with them! I know the deadline for regular decision acceptance deposits was a few days ago, so maybe there will be a few more spots opening up here soon!

Good luck to you! Keep us posted!

Hi Hiking78,

Thank you so much for your reply. They just sent you a letter? How were your GRE scores?? that's what I am afraid may be killing my chances!

Thank you and CONGRATS!

Yes, they sent me a letter. Although my GRE scores weren't stellar, I did score above the requirement of 1000+

Remember they look at the whole application...so there are other factors that come into play besides the GRE score.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I submitted it on 10/8! Yes, I'm in New England. Ok, so maybe they saved the best for last ;)

Hello,

I received a letter saying I am on the waitlist for the direct program 2011. Does anyone what the odds are of getting in?

Hey abbie555 --

You can def improve your odds by staying in touch with the admissions office, be it with updated GRE scores, test scores in prereqs you may still be taking, updated volunteer opportunities etc...what's great about Regis is that it is one of very few schools that actually encourage prospective students to remain in contact with them after being placed on the wait list.

The admissions office is incredibly helpful, and can answer any question who may have about the wait list or how you can improve your application. So don't hesitate to contact them! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Thank you so much for replying to my post. I took your advice and have been in contact with the admissions office. I pray every night that I get in. I have done so well with pre-reqs, tests, and I am so dedicated. I will make a great nurse.... I hope I see a letter in the mail with good news.

Thank you again!
