Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Been looking around to find some answers or threads regarding refresher course in FSCJ (Jacksonville, FL). If anybody been with the refresher course in FSCJ, knows somebody had done it and etc....Please give some inputs/info.

I have a question i graduated nursing schhol in 2007 and i still havent passed my nclex and i was wondering...do u guys think a refresher course would b a good idea just to go ova information and that may help me pass the nclex?

Most people do not need refresher courses to pass NCLEX. They use a review book(s) to prepare and are successful. The OP should seek out local people who have taken the review course being considered. The owner of the course should be happy to provide local references. If they can't or won't provide references, then I would stay away.

I was thinking the same thing, here in CA. I graduated in 2006, and haven't passed mine, either. I thought I was alone out here!

I graduated in 99 and just took the NCLEX this year. A clinical refresher course may be nice if you are in a tight job market since your skills just won't compare with a new grad coming right out of clinicals but it's not designed to prepare you for the NCLEX and will be of limited benefit. An NCLEX prep/refresher course may or may not be useful to someone who has been out of school a long time.

Personally, I liked Kaplan online complete and would recommend it to anyone because even though I didn't take full advantage of the program, I passed my first attempt with 75 questions. Saunders is really popular but it didn't work for me because I just didn't find it very readable so I didn't use it.
