Kept seeing add on another board for what was termed as work in an area very close to my home. After much consideration, I called about this add. I had the add right in front of me on the screen, the recruiter I was talking to lied, lied, and did more lying. Needless to say, I will not be interested in working for this company. EVER. Why do they do this type of stupid thing? It just makes nurses angry. :angryfire

That is why the recruiter is usually more important than the agency........
Well, let me see, the recruiter lied about location, salary, hours, benefits, and time off. Not to mention travel pay and bonus. I think that covers it all. It's a wonder to me how any jobs get filled. I guess the recruiters think all nurses are only smart enough to help save lives, but not smart enough to recognize a scam when we hear one. :angryfire

so what is new??? they all just want a warm body in uniform and know that once they get you there you have to do your job to the best or they can slap a patient abandonment charge or negligence..

Too many recruitors just 'plug holes' to make the agency money..and they function much like a used car salesman in the process. :angryfire

Many potential employers in the field of nursing tell "fibs and lies" to candidates. If they didn't, they would not be able to interview or hire....
Many use bait and switch tactics, fabricate benefits, plan on working you to death or until you drop in your tracks, etc. Some can even sound sincere and convincing while they do it. Many are very slick con artists. This doesn't just happen in agencies. "Regular" employers do this too. If you had a chance to interview past employees, you would hear the truth.
