Reciprocity Advice?

Hi everyone. I am currently having a problem now and needs help. I am a foriegn graduate and passed my NCLEX-RN with california. I applied for endorsement inGA, and after 4months, GA said they will not give me a license. they said that they have a law that says all foriegn trained nurses must pass through a 4yr nursing institution b4 they will issue a license but my own case was 3yrs.

I am actually considering VA and MI at this time bcs I dnt have any other choice with GA, and my question is this: does Virginia or MIchigan require u to pass TOEFL b4 dey can endorse ur license if u are a foriegn nurse. I hav seen that they need CGFNS evaluation.

Any help from anybody will be appreciated. Thanks

Suggest you check the BON websites and see what their requirements are for International trained

Thanks silverdragon102

Am just new at this website so dnt no much on how to use it.

I already called the state BON and asked for their requirements and they told me I will need to submit cgfns credential evaluation. They also said that the TOEFL will not be needed if my nursing education was in english language. The problem now is that cgfns said they will not evaluate my transcript unless I take the TOEFL which should be necessary for those applying for licensure by exam and not by endorsement.

I am not sure what to advise as they will be following some written protocol listing requirements however there are a few states that waiver English exam if report shows training was done in English. You could see if a letter from the BON showing intended waiver will get it done
