Nursing Students NCLEX

I loved the triage questions. this is how I tackled them. First use your ABC's whose airway breathing or circulation is compromised? They are who you assess first. If no one is in that advance on to maslow's heirarchy of needs,a nd find out whoose basic needs are not being met, theya re the one you see first. ie a pt in a wet bed is bad, but not as bad as a pt who is wheezing and may progress to complete airway obstruction. Good Luck.

:ancong!:

From my understanding you have to get above on all of them. The report just lets you know where you did good and where your weaknesses are. I failed the first time as well and I had 196 questions. So the computer was giving me a chance. the less questions the better the decisions of pass or fail. Have faith, don't study from alot of sources because they can be confusing.

I used the davis book did every test including the 4 at the end and did at least 20 questions a day the week prior I did 100 or more and a friend of mine bought the exam cram book the print out in the front with the lab values were good. good luck and god bless don't give up.

I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday. It shut off after 75 questions. I had a few select all that apply questions and like 4 drug calculation questions. I am not feeling so good about it. It is hard to think that I went through nursing school, passed the HESI( had to in order to graduate), and did NCLEX review questions for hours and hours day after day and it all comes down to feeling like I failed the NCLEX. I know that I will find out tomorrow, but I don't think that all the praying in the world is going to change the results. The next 24 hours are going to be miserable!

Congratulations to those who have passed and good luck to those who have yet to take it.

i'll be taking mine on 13th of may... im freaking out here :uhoh3: (nystagmus).

im using saunders and kaplan. i've been reviewing for several months. im done reading the course book, cds, question trainer and qbank and my scores are good. according to kaplan you should get at least 65% and i did more than that...however, i have this feeling that i don't know just a bad feeling. maybe i am just anxious and not really confident despite of the scores i got in kaplan and saunders.

i hope i will pass this tough exam. this is my first time. i am still planning to review 2 days before my exam. should i do that? i don't know what to do... im really nervous and really it's killing me softlly as days passes. i wish it was over.

Dont worry too much!! if your scoring is at a constant level than you should be fine. go in the day of the exam thinking its just another practice. do not cram over the next few days. and stop studying by like dinner time two nights before the test. you will do great.

If you are a nervous person think of it this way: worst case you scenario you take it again. you passed nursing school. its not like you have to repeat all of that. the hard work is done!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
