Recent experiences

Hi I am looking for recent experiences with Excelsior nursing exams all the threads I find are old ones, from 2007 to 2012. I am currently in the last four exams I have reproductive health which I take 7/6/15 and then LS 1-3. I am wanting to be done hopefully fingers crossed by the end of August this year with exams and then hopefully with the entire program in December. That being said I use the SG101 notes and it seems their notes are a little helpful but tend to be behind I guess some things have changed since they last made their notes. I would like to know what to focus on from here on out and anyones recent testing experiences. How long did anyone study for in between testing for the life span series of exams and any pointers?

Ok so we are kind of in the same boat I thought about taking it as a course but I want to be in the Oct Fcca class hoping to finish all classes by Dec

An EC advisor assured me that I would be eligible for October FCCA'S once LS3 is completed in October. I'm hoping!

Hi there! I just passed the CPNE, first time in June. I too, was a speedy test taker, but understand that the frustration will come at the end, when there are time restrictions on how quickly you can get a test date. I applied in January and didn't get a date until June and that was with me calling and hounding them weekly for cancellations. Currently there a roughly a 5-6 month wait for CPNE.

I started taking exams in March and was done with everything except FCCA and CPNE by November.

As far as LS goes I always took about 2-3 weeks between exams. Life span should be very familiar because its all the things we learned in LPN school. Just refresh. :)

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Thank you and good for you happy to hear you just finished. I did hear the wait list was crazy but I am persistent and u do not mind calling everyday if need be. I just want to get done I started from scratched on 2013 and I am really just wanting to finish it up asap.

I just passed Transitions today with a record low study time of 4 days. Still have Reproduction and LS3 left. I'm hoping that it's not too unrealistic to try and pass them both by October 14th. If I make the deadline, I will be enrolling in both FCCA classes at the same time.

Congrats my repro test was peds heavy. I am rushing for Oct 14th deadline as well.

If anyone has taken both FCCA classes at the same time, how did you feel about it? Would anyone recommend taking them separately. I plan on taking them at the same time just want to make sure its a smart decision.

I plan on taking them at the same time. I had read some forums and they said its best to take both at the same time because they flow together but were all in the same boat lol.

I took them at the same time with no issues.

Mya612 after you finished both how soon were invited to sit for CPNE?

Within 48hrs. It took 7 months to get a CPNE test date, and that's because I took a cancellation date.

Ok I know they said if you're willing to sign up for different locations it is faster? I am willing to do this lol even if I need to fly somewhere.
