I'm just wondering why someone's BAC would continue to go up and up and up upon recheck even 5 hours after admission onto the unit. The RN I'm working with says that with it being 5 hours since admit the BAC should not still be going up.

If you add table salt to hand sanitizer it separates the gel from the etoh and u can skim off the gel and you get straight alcohol. (Learned that from a prison guard)
Also, when was this guys last drink? He may still be digesting it.

Dude, how do people figure these things out? I guess necessity is the mother of invention, but who thinks man, I'm gonna pour some salt on hand sanitizer and see what happens.
I had a pt. dip alcohol swabs in orange juice and suck on them.

Redneck mimosa?
The person was an unreliable source on when they last drank which tells me probably right before they came in they might have had some.
Wow... Interesting

Most CD patients usually are. I love the ones that swear they drank yesterday but their BAC is .345
