Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2012

Published

ooops... The other one had 2011 instead of 2012... let's try this again:

Just thought I would start a new thread for the current application cycle. Questions... stats... rumors... etc!

My question is... for those applying this cycle, how did you do on the TEAS V? Since this is the first year they are using this test, it would be nice to see how everyone is doing.

(Please don't post TEAS 3 or TEAS 4 results, as the scores are NOT comparable with the TEAS V.)

Haha NurseWannaBe86 Yep! It was bad when I woke up this morning...I had to go for a drive to get my mind off of it...then I come back and of course jump on here, and now it's soooo much worse lol...I had a dream about it even, it's craaaaazy!

So excited for you creole:)I'm sitting at the dentist office, waiting for my daughter to get done, totally forgot to bring my micro stuff to study and my exam is tomorrow, yikes!! Anywho, while I wait, here are my stats ahead of time, 3.96 gpa, 81.3 teas v, A in A&P, applied to nvcc. I hope to hear lots more good news:)

My mail comes supper early. I waited outside for the mail man...he laughed at me.

I got accepted to Norwalk. A's in All the sciences (chem, micro, gen bio, ap 1/II). 3.82 gpa

In the fall, my focus will only be on the Nursing courses, which will be less pressure for me.

allforthekidds : awesome stats! you will get in....i'll put money on it. based on all that i've read, i think you all will get in! you have worked hard and all have great stats!!!! we are deserve this. :D

@allforthekidds: your stats are better than mine! I'm sure you'll get in! Just don't take my seat haha ;)Guys, all of you that are accepted, what's the date on your forms? Not the date on the stamp, but the date on all the forms/letters inside your envelope and how thick was the envelope?

I hope a 3.6 is a high enough GPA...I just recalculated it, and if they used a C from way back in 2004 it's a 3.6...if not it's a 3.8...ugh!!!

They only used your C if it's a nursing related class...one that you need for the program... If not( if it's history or something) and as long as I can still calculate that 2004 is more than 5 years ago, than they won't add this class

I'm new here.....butI got my acceptance today to Capital. My stats were 3.81 GPA, 87% TEAS and A in A&P1. Good luck to everyone. NurseWannaBe86....The envelope was a big one but only 6 papers inside. The letter is dated April 2nd.

dont stress, remeber the rank is 75%, not 60.... that is good

nursewannabe86 my letter is dated 4/9 and post marked 4/9. it came in a regular letter size envelope with 4 sheets of paper.

i'm sure you'll get in too :D

Thanks and congrats cnjsmom!!!! I was just wondering about the date! I'm so happy for you! And 87 on the TEAS?!?!?! How did u do that ;)

It was a humanities course...but when I was working with the nursing adviser she was trying to find something else to squeeze in there...so I have no way of knowing if they used it or not ): And I do believe that is one of the courses they use...guess I will find out soon enough anyway!
