  1. Thank you everyone for the great suggestions!!!
  2. I just had my orientation yesterday, and they have to be all white leather shoes...and I am almost certain they said Dansko would pass (: Gotta check to be sure, thanks for the feedback!
  3. Thank you! I've been reading great reviews on Dankso...
  4. Would any of you current nursing students mind sharing your recommendations for comfortable shoes? I start my program in the fall...I did some research, but wanted to get some more feedback from those who are in the midst of their nursing school careers (: Thanks!
  5. Yeah that's what I thought...are you attending the RN to BSN workshop on the 11th?
  6. Hey! I hope you get the start time you want (: Micro will be so much easier for you if you don't have to take it along with a nursing class for sure! Btw...has your major changed? Mine still says general studies...
  7. mssjez, my major has not changed...I am attending TRCC in the fall, and I can start registering May 9th...and mine still says general studies ): No glitch there that I'm aware of, but I will be calling tomorrow haha!
  8. Oh yikes! Gotcha...I hope you get it straightened out soon enough...it was stressful enough waiting for the acceptance letter lol! Good luck!!!
  9. For those who are worried about registration...this may ease your worries. I am going to TRCC in the fall, and I happened to look at my copy of the letter of intent form we are supposed to send in to hold our nursing seat. On that form it says when we may begin registering for classes. Mine says "You may begin registering for classes May 9th, and must be registered for Nur 101 by June 1st". So if you can locate that form (if you made a copy) it may say that for you all as well. My student information still lists me a general studies, but I was told from several different people at the college that they will be changing it over...you guys should be just fine (: I was worried about why I couldn't register right now, until I saw that form that states a specific date when I can...
  10. I just wanted to reach out to anyone who is starting their nursing journey this fall...I am starting in the fall, and would love to hear from anyone who is as well!
  11. Thanks studentnurseCT...me being the type of person I am, I would I was thinking of buying those recommended books...I will look into that SNA, thanks!
  12. Thanks awesome information...I wonder why I was told just one of those books alone would cost so much...total book cost I was told would be $800 or so for 101...I'm sure I will get a lot more info regarding book prices and bundle packages at the orientation...thanks again!!!
  13. Yeah it's crazy!!! it's the Nursing 101 Package...when you say 101 bundle, what do mean exactly? You got all of those books for about $450?
  14. Found some things out today...I spoke with a nursing adviser at TRCC...found out a little bit about the books... For the first semester it was about $800 give or take for book costs during the 1st semester for NUR 101...that is not including the recommended books. The NUR 101 book itself is $400 or so... The second semester is not as bad in book costs she said (: Still expensive, but that NUR 101 book is a beast apparently... You can buy these books new or used, although I didn't find there to be a huge savings going used...but maybe you will (: For those who live in the Norwich area...I have been going to Concentra Urgent Care for my vaccines and physical...they seem reasonable to me and you don't need to make an appointment...wait times so far have been negligible, they are pretty quick about taking care of you! Hope everyone is making out okay!
  15. You guys aren't the only one stressing...I'm calling in a couple of days to make sure my letter of intent made it's way to the right hands (: I'm not sure how much the books are going to cost...I'm a little nervous to know haha...
