ooops... The other one had 2011 instead of 2012... let's try this again:
Just thought I would start a new thread for the current application cycle. Questions... stats... rumors... etc!
My question is... for those applying this cycle, how did you do on the TEAS V? Since this is the first year they are using this test, it would be nice to see how everyone is doing.
(Please don't post TEAS 3 or TEAS 4 results, as the scores are NOT comparable with the TEAS V.)
Hopefully! This wait is killing me. I have 4 papers to write, 1 presentation to prepare and a Micro exam to study for (while working 30 hours a week) and I can't focus at all! I'm hoping that I get my letter by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest (I live in downtown Hartford so I like to imagine that since I'm so close it will get here super fast).
I applied to TRCC AND CCC. TRCC was my school of first choice. Strange thing is I'm in A&PII right now but it says I met that requirement and the date is April 4th 2012 and I'm not taking it at TRCC. Im getting an A so maybe they checked through the college system or someone made a mistake? Found that to be surprising. Sorry for any typos. I'm using a touch screen and I'm so excited Im not hitting the keys very well.
Thank you! I was just texting a few of my classmates who applied. One is in and one is waitlisted. I feel terrible for those of you who are waitlisted. I know it's hard to do but try not to let it get to you. Wait for your letter and see what spot you have. You might still have a shot if someone turns theirs down. It's not over yet. For all you know you might have been right at the cutoff after the 75% and didn't make the lottery. Hang in there and don't give up.
@chrisg1234...I have a friend who applied to St.Vincents and she told me that certain classes, like A&P (Not sure about Micro), you have to take at St.Vincents in order to get in, unless you pass the test, which, my friend said, is impossible. She took chemistry with me at NVCC and then went to St.Vincents to take the two A&P classes there, otherwise she said she wouldn't get in and St.Vincents does it just to make money off of the classes...I just wanted to mention what her experience was.

I check the gateway page and I was also waitlisted. I have been waitlisted for gateway and bridgeport hospital. I was accepted into st. vincents. I will have to take the exam for micro and a&p for those classes to be accepted. has anyone ever taken those to exams? It sucks that both of the nursing programs i wanted waitlisted me. i guess I should be happy at least St. Vincents accepted me but I think they accept most applicants anyways. I dont think St. Vincents is hard to get into. they took only twelve of my credits so far, and will take micro and a&p credits if i pass the exams. im so upset right now.
