recently read a good book about the trials and tribulations of nurses in the LTC. Name of the book is "Don't cry over spilt bed pans." It made me laugh one minute and cry the next. Very good book, would recommend it to any one who works in nursing homes or is thinking about putting a love in a nursing home. Represented a very different but honest view that is not always seen or realized.

Name is Frieda Stewart, her BIO says she is a DON at LTC facility in Oklahoma. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know what you think of it. Ive passed mine around to friends, most really enjoyed. On the other side, any suggestions for good books that youve read?

just ordered it too. can't wait to read it. as a nurse thinking about working in ltc, and my grandma is in a ltc facility
My book that I took to the beach this summer, I read Life Support. It was about a Home Health Nurse Practioner, Oncology RN, and Clinical Nurse Specialist on Med-Surg. It was really interesting, they would share a typical day, patients that touch their heart, etc .. then literally a wave came and the book was drenched and sandy. lol.. I'll finish it one of these days.
