I think it would depend on the program you are taking there in the UK- I'm sure the school would be able to tell you if the course was accredited in the US. Our schools are the things that are acreditted here in the US, not the individual courses.

You can also get in contact with the state license board here in the US that you plan to apply to work in.

A critical care course in the UK will not make any changes to your license to work in the US. Noticed that you have eight years of experience so think that you are speaking of clinical nurse specialist, etc., or something similar.

The US requires that CNS, as well as NP be Mastered prepared, so unless it would give you an MSN at the end of the training, you will not get any experience for it over here. They are both considered Advanced Practice RN roles, and actually require an additional licensing requirement from the state BON in order to practice in that role.

I did the ENB 100 many years ago, so if its that or the equivalent you are talking about then, no, you will not receive any accreditation for it. In fact in my experience you receive very little accreditation for anything. I have an MSc. in nursing and am a supplementary and independent nurse prescriber, couldnt get either accredited without jumping through hoops, which I wasn't prepared to do. Take my advice, go to Oz, they recognise all my hard work and experience with minimal effort from me. :smokin:
