hi suzanne! i'm planning to send my application for evaluation . i'm a june 2006 nurse licensure exam passer here in the phils. and i have yet to receive my license number. what i have right now is a certificate of passing. the application form for CES requires a license number. would the certificate of passing issued by the PRC (Registering authority) be considered, if i submit it along with my other documents to cgfns?

I'm not sure if this is accurate, but as I understand it, there is another form with CES that you have to send to PRC to validate your license. The certificate of passing or board rating doesn't mean you are licensed yet. It just means you passed the NLE. So if there is no license number issued, PRC has nothing to validate yet. And since the leakage issue hasn't been resolved yet, PRC can't validate the exam yet either. Your CES might take longer than expected. This is the info I get from reading all the other threads. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong?? Thanks, and goodluck with your application.

CES will not be able to release a report on you. There is no license issued, and the piece of paper that you have cannot be verified by the PRC as there is a court case going on. They must be able to verify a license number. The two thoughts are if you do not pass an exam, then there is no license, if you pass, then you get a license. Since it will be months unitl things are sorted out, much faster to retest and then start the process.
My suggestion would be to concentrate on taking the exam there again this December, 2006, and then moving on. I have not seen one state approve any nurse to take the NCLEX that took that exam, if they did not apply before that exam.
thanks so much for answering my query. i might as well pursue my plan to apply in california.
No one know what CA is going to do yet. And we will not know for sometime. The issue is that you took the exam, and you must report that you took it. CGFNS will not issue you a Visa Screen Certificate since the exam results cannot be verified.
There is really nothing that you can do at this point, I have not heard of one state issuing permission for any nurse to sit for the NCLEX exam, who took the exam in June. The only ones are those that applied to a BIN before taking the exam.
