Rcc fall 2017 applicants

I've taken Spanish 1 but forgot to check to box for foreign language, I did include it as one of my general ed for Humanities. Is it okay to assume I qualify for the language proficiency? It sucks that the work hour requirement is >1000 hours, I'm currently at 800 hours.

I think you have a good chance with 81 points. Like you said many people probably didn't take those two nursing classes for an extra 10 points.

Who knows what the cut off will be. All we can do is wait and be hopeful at this point.

Hey ! And I don't have her #. Best way to contact her is through email. that's I made my appointment with her she usually replies back . And I am applying with 76 points that's with the 2 classes that give me 10 points . What was your score on the TEAS ?

I am also banking on a lot of people not having taken those Classes. Those being in the mix definitely frightens me! Trying to stay positive and just really hope this is my year. Wishing you all the very best of luck as well.

Thank you. I just sent her an email. I got 87.3 on the Teas. I think I have around 80 points. I hope we make it in.

Did Michelle get into the program last semester?

I'm glad she made it in. I didn't apply, I regret it now. If I don't get in this semester I'm going to apply to both programs next time. I hope you get a spot.

Hi, I applied to the RCC nursing program! I was wondering what are the classes that help you get extra points?? I met with the counselor and she never mentioned anything about these... is this for the RN program?

Yes it's prep for nursing and a math class... but only one counts next semester I think

Just a little update: I emailed Jackie about my points and she said that I would have to contact Steve to find out my points. She stated that he is in the process of evaluating and adding everyone's points and that we should reach out to him around June 8th. I would imagine June 8th would be the date around when we find out if we get into the program or not. Just thought you guys should know this. I'm really anxious and nervous because we are so close to finding out if we get in or not.

Also, if anyone was wondering what contributes to our points for those who applied for Fall 2017, here's a little run down:

1. Academic degrees from regionally accredited programs: 5 points

2. Grade Point Average: 45 points max (assuming you have a 4.0 in science and general ed requirements)

3. Life experiences including disabilities, low family income, need to work, etc: 3 points

4. Veteran: 5 points

5. Other Language Proficiency: 2 points

6. TEAS test: 35 points max (assuming you got 90-100)

7. Recent work or volunteer experiences including volunteer work or taking NXN-84 and NRN-93: 10 points total
