Random drug testing- how paranoid are you?

Published

I just left an indoor concert for one of my favorite bands because the smell of weed (assume from a vape pen) was so overpowering.  I googled and read different studies, all of which said there was a chance secondhand could show up.  One study said that 1/3 of security personnel had trace amounts of THC after working an open-air concert.  I didn't feel comfortable taking that chance.  I'm so bummed.  So, how paranoid or even irrational is everyone else?

I’m a little paranoid. I didn’t take one narcotic prior to having spine/back surgery, when I was in major pain. I don’t eat poppy seed anything. I will take a half dose of a 0.5 mg benzo once a year to help me sleep when I haven’t slept for days due to insomnia. I have a prescription. I don’t want to have an issue.

I think it is horrible that nurses have to suffer in pain, with anxiety, or panic disorders because they are afraid of taking medication to manage said disorders. We are human too and are entitled to have pain management post op, not suffer from anxiety or panic disorders or any other illness or disorder because they are afraid of taking the meds for it.
