  1. My lawyer has been my saving grace. He charged a very expensive flat fee in the beginning, but has been worth every penny. He has represented me with the board, the court system, pnap, and even recently with an employer who terminated me due to my record after having worked there for a month. As far as drug testing, the money you pay for it could mean the difference between having a nurse wage or a cashier wage down the road. Pay for the drug testing.
  2. I tried to search, but I haven't quite figured out how to filter the replies, so I'll just post. I have an interview at Gateway tomorrow. What is everyone's experience with addiction nursing in general and also doing it while in PNAP
  3. The sales lady didn't even mention the cbd. She was talking more about the right amount of compression and how comfortable they are. I don't buy into the supposed benefits of cbd in clothing. I bought them because she said they were comfortable and only $6. LOL
  4. I just bought compression socks that were highly recommended by the scrub store. I got them home and see on the label that they are CBD infused. I am in pnap and I'm concerned about the drug testing. Does anyone else wear these or does anyone know if it is enough to show on a drug test? I can't imagine that it would be because it's infused fabric on your feet, but I'm nervous.
  5. I got lucky. One of the facilities near me emailed the leader of my mandatory nurses support group and asked if any nurses were looking for jobs and gave her info. I'm in PNAP, which is the PA nurse monitoring program, so they knew before I even interviewed. I was also honest about what they would find on my background check, which is misdemeanor possession charges. They thanked me for my honesty and said that wouldn't disqualify me. I got the job.
  6. I just left an indoor concert for one of my favorite bands because the smell of weed (assume from a vape pen) was so overpowering. I googled and read different studies, all of which said there was a chance secondhand could show up. One study said that 1/3 of security personnel had trace amounts of THC after working an open-air concert. I didn't feel comfortable taking that chance. I'm so bummed. So, how paranoid or even irrational is everyone else?
  7. This is all so new to me and I'm kind of freaking out. I was given a fitness for duty test at work and I know I'm going to fail it. I admitted to diversion to my unit director. I've contacted my employer EAP and waiting for a call back from a case manager at PNAP. I'm terrified of criminal charges. This is all just recently. I had a knee surgery 5 years ago and never fully recovered. I'd been working a lot of hours for financial reasons and things spiraled. I'm at a loss what to do.
