I don't usually do these but I wanted to encourage anyone that might be going through what I went through.
I did the Kaplan reviews only, took my exam on 7/28/2015. I took like 20mins just to go through the "sample" questions ( I dont recommend that). I was around question 66 when 2hrs passed.
I was still relaxed thinking pass or fail, no way I get to 265 or 6hrs. Little did I know, that I will run out of time. Kaplan said in their videos that if you run out of time, you have a 5% chance of passing so I about passed out when I ran out of time.
I got home told my family, and friends and they told me there is a chance, 7/29 came and passed and my name was still on the GVN side of the Tx BON website. Did the trick later on that night and it wanted me to submit order ( which they say means you failed). Also went to "quick result" to pay about $8 for the result but it told me my result was not available. I thought I was done.
Then this morning ( 7/30/15), the result came out and I passed. I am still in shock but just wanted to tell ppl, there is hope even if you run out of time and dont kill yourself.

Congrats on a job well done.
I would recommend paying attention to infection control ( PPE & rooming of pts,) and priority.

Congrats! I just want to take a minute to address the bolded parts of your post, quoted above.
EVERYONE who is attempting to register another exam (which is what you are doing when doing the PVT) is directed to input credit card information. For the last year, EVERYONE gets that screen. Means nothing.
When you tried to get Quick Results (the $8 accurate results) of course it would tell you that your results are unavailable; QR is only offered 48 hours after your exam. You hadn't even allowed enough time for your exam to undergo the Quality Assurance review that all NCLEX exams must go through (and it takes upwards of 24 hours).
People who live in States that do not participate with the Quick Results program will always see the words "results unavailable" because.....well....they aren't.
In order for you to have passed the exam after running out of time, you had to be above the passing standard for the previous 60 questions, not an easy feat! So congrats on that :)

I often see people say that others should focus on XX, or study XX, or make sure you know XX because they saw a lot of questions pertaining to that knowledge on their exams.
Thing is, EVERY test has all of those components in them, you really can't focus more or less on anything, because if there is one thing CAT is REALLY good at, it's finding out where you are weakest and hammering in more and more questions on those topics.
When people say "definitely study precautions, I had a TON of questions on that", what they really mean is THEY had a ton of questions because they didn't easily demonstrate competency, or didn't demonstrate it quickly...took awhile. Other people might say they had a bazillion OB questions and another person will say "don't bother with OB, I had like two questions total".
All areas of knowledge will be tested, if you're not so hot in a certain area, then THAT'S what you need to focus on, not what someone else said THEY had lots of on their exams. Makes sense?
Actually the nclex does not test like that. If you are weak in one of the testing areas they test you on that not the subject ie. infection precaution or ob or peds. Im just saying personally i had the same question asked twice over c diff, i also know i was not lacking in that area since my performance report told me i was above passing in all but one area which was pharm. The point of nclex it to show them you are a safe nurse and no one every knows what they will get. They just have to look at the test break down to get a general idea of what falls under those categories. I personally struggled with ob in my nursing career and i was only asked 2 questions which im sure i got wrong.
I understand how the exam works, and the makeup of the topics within the categories/domains of knowledge. I've been working with students a long time.....but good luck to you on your next attempt.
