Hey y'all!

Just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying to Radys this fall. I applied for ED, PICU and NICU!

Good luck to everyone!

Hi! I also applied for those three as my top units!

Hi guys! does anyone know how difficult it is to get into CTICU? and how many positions will be open in total for all the units?

I applied for CTICU, PICU, and ECC. I get the sense that the critical care placements are the most competitive. I really didn't think this application was going to open for another month--did anyone have a heads up? If so, how were you informed?

Does anyone who has already applied have experience at Rady? Did you feel it was organized and supportive?

Thank you for any input and best wishes on everyone's application!

I was offered a job as a pca a few months ago, but I couldn't make the new hire orientation because it landed on a day I had lecture so I wasn't able to start. I was then told to apply for the new grad cohort by the management that initially wanted to hire me, so I had a heads up. A lot of my friends have all had great experience with Rady new grad program and they have loved their jobs. I believe the critical care placements are most competitive but I am open to all units just to get my foot in the door.

Hi!! This might be a silly question but I found this job last minute and I am applying. I don't see where to indicate for which unit to apply to though? I am open to most units though so I would not be picky

You would specify in your cover letter ?

I realized I didn't specify my units on my initial cover letter so I uploaded a correct cover letter but now both are on my file.. should I contact someone to remove the incorrect cover letter ?

Just went to submit my application and it says application closed??

I was staying in the PICU again for my sibling, so I found out from the nurses and manager while there - I also thought it opened later in June! I applied on June 8th to PICU, NICU, and medical. It's truly a wonderful hospital! I've been going there for 13 years now and all the nurses I know love what they do and say the culture is amazing ?

Does anyone know how many people applied last time? I know UCSD was transparent about how many applied for their Summer cohort - I'm really hoping fewer applied for this cohort at Rady's! How is everyone feeling?
