I interviewed for CTICU last week and unfortunately did not get the position. Would like to know if anyone made it to the residency and if willing to share some pointers, plan to reapply next cohort ? TIA

Oh no! That's okay keep applying to other residencies as well! Have you taken your boards yet? I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I still havent taken mine and interview this week. will let you know how it goes but don't get discouraged! Keep applying! ?

Hey! I interviewed for NICU on the 11th and said I would hear back around the end of the month. Has anyone gotten an offer or checked in to see when they might be calling?

Just got an offer with NICU! I might have to decline it though as I took another position, so hopefully that opens up a spot for the next candidate in line!! Good luck everybody!

Thats awesome! Congrats! May I ask your reasoning behind choosing another position over this one? Is it the pay or you like the other one better? In the same boat..thnx

Congrats to your offers too!! Pay was a small part of the reason; I personally prefer sites that get both local and transfer babies, and just felt like I vibed with the other staff team more during interview. It was a tough decision though, I'm sure both places are extraordinary to start as new grads

I also received an offer for NICU!! I accepted it as it was my only offer?

Congratulations to everyone who got offers and interviews! I was wondering if you all had any prior NICU experience or related certifications? Unfortunately, I never heard back from them and I'm interested in figuring out how to make myself more competitive!

I didn't have any prior NICU experience or certification, but I was a veterinary nurse before switching to the human side. I'm guessing they just like my cover letter and letter of rec along with the interview. Maybe just revamp your application documents and make any prior experiences sound transferable and applicable to NICU nursing. This round of new grad competition was fierce, so don't get discouraged!
