I was just wondering what meds you all are using for sedation/sleep meds since seconal is no more.

Thanks all. I assume you knew I was referring to preggo ladies since I posted in this area right?? We actually are just now down to our last seconal. I know many have been without it for a long time.

We have given Seconal 100mg with 10mg of morphine.
Or Nubaine 10mg for sleep but those are all one time doses, not given every night.

e haven't had seconal for almost 6 months now. We use restoril.

Ambien 10mg or Vistaril 50-100mg
on preggies, we use Vistaril, anywhere from 25 to 100 mg. works pretty well. Some may use Bendryl, 25-50 mg also. Considered relatively safe.

i work i ob too, and we use 5 or 10 mg AMbien....
