"those" who haven't taken nursing classess wonder why "we" stress so much and why can't "we make all good grades "a", "b" consistently like "we" did taking pre-reqs or why is it so hard to get the "c" or "b" that is needed for a passing grade?
after trying to explain, "they" still don't get it. the support is great from "our" loved ones and friends, but who better to talk to than a peer who is or has "walked" in one's shoes!
i do appreciate "them" but sometimes, i need those who can relate so i may vent to others or with others!
anyone else know what i mean!
Nursing school is hard - thats because when you get out of school you are given the job of making truly life or death decisions regarding other peoples lives. As adult learners we all strive to make the "A" and people in less intense programs do not understand us. Just think of it as a right of passage - you can do it!! (We all did, and I lived to tell about it ADN,BSN, MSN)
gotosleep,
Let me clarify myself alittle, the meaning behind it is "DO NOT STRESS OVER IT!!" This is when you do mess up, this is a scientific fact. When I stressed over a test in school (I mean really bad) I would mess up. Not that my grades mean anything now, but I was an A/B student in school. And yes at times it was indeed like bootcamp, when you have children at home and you still have to keep the machine going. The thread had to do with stress, venting, and people who know where you are coming from. Sorry if the whole "c" thing offended you, but I do know some great nurses who did in fact TRY HARD and made C's, they did not strive for it, like nurs2b said, it just happens.
