"results on hold?!"

what does this mean? According to PVT it can still go either way? I went to 265, so shouldn't they just look at last one? Or I even heard it may had a glitch so could they possibly review it another way?? I took it 6/7 & all I can do is think about it!!!!! Prayers please.

PVT is not valid if your results are on hold. When your results are on hold there is notihing you can do but hurry up and wait.

There are a few reasons for a hold:

1. there was a rule violation (used study material, discussed exam, stood up during exam instead of raising hand, used cell phone, etc.) that PV needs to evaluate and report to your BoN

2. issue at testing site (computer glitch, problem with palm scan, ID issue, etc.) that PV needs to evaluate just like a statistical hold

3. statistical hold (see quote below)

What is the process for investigating candidate examinations put on hold for statistical reasons?

Exam results that exhibit unusual statistic patterns will be placed on hold for further investigation. Exam log, item response time, answering patterns and video recording at the test center are carefully reviewed for the score hold cases to ascertain validity of the exam results. Once validity of an exam result is established, the held score will be released to the appropriate board of nursing and subsequently to the candidate.

How long does a statistical investigation take?

The statistical investigation process generally takes only a few days. In complicated cases where additional inquiries are necessary, the process may require additional time. Once the statistical analyses are completed, NCSBN staff will work with the candidate's state board of nursing to determine next steps.

Thank you Asst. Admin!!! I called pearson vue and they couldn't offer me any answers concerning why my test results were on hold. They actually told me that they weren't on hold. I called the NCSBN after reading your post, and they told me exactly what you posted from their website. They said it could be because I took the test quickly or that I was selected randomly for review. They also said that the numbers are in the thousands of those put on hold. Even though I don't have my results, this does make me feel a little better.
