Nurses Men

Published

does anyone here know of where i could get scrub tops with a more masculine pattern...i've seen some like cars,boats,sports,etc...i'd assume it would be an online store. i'm looking for more like a whole line of male patterns then just a store with a couple of different patterns for men.

thanks in advance,

Marcus, Blood donor, piper for hire, and paranurse...I don't mean to get in the way of you all's grunting and chest pounding and all, BUT I have seen male patterns that were masculine and I liked them. Everyone has their own personal taste.

I am secure enough to go into nursing and I am secure enough to wear a pattern. I am not talking teddybears and rainbows. I am talking guitars and boats (two things I love). I've wore a uniform in the military and personally would like to now have my own style instead of wearing the same thing everyday. Although I realize that everyone has a right to his/her opinion, I started this thread because I am looking for "male" pattern scrub tops. I encourage you guys to continue to NOT wear patterns, but, as I stated, I am really looking for sources of male scrub patterns and not why, according to societal views, I should not wear patterns.

I thank everyone that provided links.

Black scrubs represent good taste. What do you mean "can males wear black scrubs". Wear whatever you want!

Talk about your basic non-problem. I occasionally think about wearing something more colorfull than a yellow t-shirt with my blue scrubs. Teddybears, camouflage or Olive Drab are just out of the questions. I'll probably just end up getting a different shade of blue scrubs.

Atleast I know I'm fine; the voices told me so!

There has to be some beer can patterns out there.

My ER uniform consists of black pants and printed scrub tops. I don't consider wearing printed tops to be a violation of my ManCard. Most of my prints are fish or automobile related. No flowers or pinks! I use the following online sites for masculine printed tops: scrubmed, sassyscrubs, and floridascrubs.

Update: I accepted a new position in Florida. Now I stuck with solid color uniforms (white, royal blue or hunter green). Gawd how I hate shopping for uniforms.

Never mind the fabric, here's a top made out of beer itself!

I have yet to see a patterned top for men that doesn't make the wearer look simple minded. I work with a physician who is approx.6'2" and weighs about 230lb of pure muscle. A very masculine guy, hunts/fishes/camps. He wore a printed golf top one day and should I say has never worn it again.

Look on ebay. There is a lady that makes scrub tops for both men and women. They are very reasonable price. I recently got one with the Coke and Nascar logo's and such. I think I paid less than $15.00 including shipping.

There's this gal with german high cheek bones and blond hair..pretty cute. Works in ER...and I noted one time at the corner of my eye her wearing black scrubs when she was barking orders at the tech to get a 12 lead stat. Well, I zoomed in on my impressionable mind images of swastikas and banners held high. That black uniform looks a little SS to me!

Some day I'll have the guts to wear black and have a dragon tattoo peeking out from under my right armed sleeve, but I just don't want to be confused with the death angel...o.k. sometimes my patients to end up at death's door, but I don't want it to be assumed that by what I was wearing that particular day had anything to do with it...;-]

I like uniforms with collars, plain uniforms and dislike the unprofessional look that scrubs give off...could be a nurse or an inmate?!!! Especially bright orange and the gate belt, very incriminating say the least!

PS. There is definite room out there for a medical uniforms for men only. Really, a man can go wearing around a uniform that says prickies on the right sleeve for so long...omgdmil (expletive+darned mother in law etc etc!!!)

People that wear black scrubs suffer from an acute case of excellent fashion sense.
