"male" scrub top patterns

Published

does anyone here know of where i could get scrub tops with a more masculine pattern...i've seen some like cars,boats,sports,etc...i'd assume it would be an online store. i'm looking for more like a whole line of male patterns then just a store with a couple of different patterns for men.

thanks in advance,

jay

I go for the loudest Hawaiian scrub shirts I can find. Googled this site up and have bought several from them (they feature original fabrics), warning: read the scrub shirt sizing chart VERY carefully, they are sized differently from everything else on the site: hawaiianfabric.com

If there's nobody near you that sews, there is a person on ebay that sews scrubs from fabric you send her. I think she charged $10 plus shipping?? Can't remember for sure, but it didn't seem outrageous to me.

I had some scrubs that I used to wear in the ER(Where extreme formality wasn't that much of a concern as opposed to ICU); I had a friend do

my embroidery; it read my name followed by: RN, BSN Euthanologist

Euthanologist had a huge red X over it; and under the word it had the words:

Critical Care

I would never be able to wear something like that on my current jobs/clinicals

though. We aren't even allowed to wear scrubs on LifeFlight anymore; just

these fire-proof free jumpsuits; they are black and gold though; that's a plus.

My ears must be burning. The second week of July I visited my sister in NC. Had this dilemma of no male scrubs. So I left her an old teal scrub top and asked for anything with a male theme. Nascar, football, fishing, baseball, please anything but flowers. LOL you guys no what I mean.

I took my sister to the mall and went into one of those stores. My choice is solid or I show a feminine side. HHHMMMMM. SOLID. So she is making me something. Also adding an additional 4 inched to the lenght.

well, like i said, i saw some men wearing patterns and liked it. one guy had boats and fishing poles and the like and it was very masculine. one guy i saw had guitars, i really liked that one and it looked masculine. so yes, i would like to wear a masculine pattern. wearing solids all the time just gets to me. plus i wear just dark colors, navy blue and black, but i would like a "punch of color" for my top, so i don't look like "nurse death" coming! right now i work as a cna, but next year when i graduate i want to wear "ems" style black & navy blue pants with different scrub tops.

thanks,

jay

I knew a very tall male RT that wore black scrubs, and frankly looked inappropriate. Black scrubs reminds me of the Grim Reaper, which is not a welcomed thought for patients, LOL.

No way! Black scrubs rock. Personally - I'd rather have nurses with serious looking black scrubs on than flowery print scrubs. I find it hard to take people seriously when they're covered in flowers.

LOL, I'd never wear flowery print scrubs. I've always worn solid colored scrubs. The ones' I wear now are a solid light green color with the imprint of Property of Madigan Army Medical Center on the shirt pocket. ;)

I can't really wrap my head around wearing patterns. None of them seem very masculine to me.

I do like scrubs that are single color but have a logo of some sort on the breast pocket. I have one that is Maroon and has the OU logo on it. And one time I saw a pair that had orange pants, a black top and the Harley-Davidson Logo on the pocket but I didn't have the cash with me. Now I can't find them again.

Men don't wear patterns. Period. For ANY reason. No room for discussion.... as in "Man-law"

-makes grunting sound in agreement-

My ER standard wear:

O.R. green scrub pants (oversized) with a t-shirt from American Apparel, or the GAP. One pen, some ETOH wipes, and scissors (unless some ortho dude "borrows" them). Aspen Crocs on the toes, yo.

Also saw some ER docs with O.R. green scrub tops and tan/brown cargo pants... Nice.

No prints boys... We'll be forced to send you to the Peds unit.....
