Oh Darn !!

I missed it !!

My cousin dropped by and we stirred up a couple of strawberry dacqueries and wrapped Chistmas presents .

Did anyone see it?

I promised a co-worker - who has an appointment with the bariatric doc - - that I would watch,

and tell her about the before and after results.

This is a huge obstacle to many patients....

there is a lot of fear related to

the altered body image "after".

I was watching it and then fell asleep halfway through, darn it! I wanted to see what kind of a change they were able to do on all that extra skin. I think you can find the final results on the ABC website...the before and after.

I saw it. THey had to remove all sorts of redundant tissue from trunk, arms,legs---just about everywhere. He looked great afterwards. In fact, he looked nothing like his picture from one year ago, before he lost >100 lbs. His wife is still obese and I wonder if this will inspire her to loose enough weight to be healthy. Trouble is, not many of can afford all that glam surgery.

My co-worker wants to lose 200 #'s. But she says she would never be able to afford the tummy tuck- apron removal surgery, so, ..............

All I want for XMAS is a eyelid snip, a neck/throat lift, pointy boobies, 6 pack abs, lipo-suctioned thighs...............

Yeah, that would make me 21 again !! LOL

AND, an app't with one of those fashion shoppers where I get to keep all the snazzy clothes....

I've already got the haircut, color, make-up, shiny white teeth....

done all the "easy" stuff ... LOL

Guess if I win the lottery I may be able to afford to look good again...LOL! Time marches on ...but today we can slow him down if we have the cash...hehe.:chuckle

Extreme Makeover's the only show my husband and I watch! :imbar We'd been looking forward to this episode, but it was pre-empted in our area (Philadelphia) for some special award program. (In fact, EM hasn't been on for the past 3 weeks, I think!) We were disappointed to have missed it and hope to see it when it's rerun.
