Many of the Boston hospitals' job websites have "BSN preferred". I know recent grads that are now working in Boston (BID, Brigham).
Mass General and Dana Farber have magnet status...you wouldn't get hired without a BSN at any magnet hospital.
There is a website to check it out...I think its under massnurses.org. I'm pretty sure that General & DF were the only Boston hospitals that are magnet. I know Jordan in Plymouth is as well...there are a couple others I can't remember.

I know of several magnet hospitals that have ADNs. As well as I worked Dana Farber a while back, and I think that they were magnet. And I am an ADN.
Mass General is very BSN oriented, but that has little to do with magnet and more to do with the general attitude of Mass Gen.

That is not true. There are many magnet hospitals that hire non BSN nurses.

There are plenty of great hospitals outside of Boston that will hire non-BSN grads. I know because I just got hired by one.'tooth
Yes, and in Philadelphia as well. I think Penn would be willing to pay for schooling if one were to sign an agreement to get the BSN. I just don't see any reason to get one.

Is this true? Are Boston hospitals not hiring new RNs with ADNs? Only new RNs with BSNs get jobs?
In Boston, are new ADNs completely overlooked? Where CAN new ADN-RNs get work, then?
