Hi Tory,

Congrats on your acceptance! That is a crazy big decision to move cross country and I think its great that you are taking that risk (which will be well worth it I'm sure.) I can assure you it is a beautiful state with so many great communities to live in. I think there are lots of housing opportunities right near the Hamden campus which is probably about a 15 min drive. I am not that familiar with North Haven housing options. But if you don't mind a little drive there are lots of options on the shoreline that are beautiful and near the beach and still only about a 30 minute drive to school. I live in Guilford which is a wonderful welcoming and open community with a beautiful town center and beach. But there are also several other towns like Branford, East Haven, North Branford, Hamden, Northford. This list goes on. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!

Awesome info!  Truly appreciate it.  We've been looking at all those places. So appreciate the local knowledge!  Looking forward to August!

I applied to UConn's accelerated program as well but I haven't heard back yet. However I didn't actually expect to hear back anytime soon just because their program, at least the one I applied for, doesn't start until January of next year. Do you know why you heard back so early?

Thats good news!  I hope we hear soon from QU!

Happily, I found out yesterday that I have been accepted into the accelerated program at UCONN.   Not sure which would be my first choice.

Did anyone else here also apply to UCONN?

Did anyone decide that they are definitely going to QU?

I'm definitely going because UConn hasn't gotten back to me about my application. My first degree is from QU anyway so at least I'm already familiar with the campus and I really have no complaints about QU. Incredible teachers and helpful administration. Obviously the cost will always be the downside, any private school in America is always overpriced, but luckily I received more than half the tuition I need from financial aid. Looking forward to meeting the people who will be attending in August!

It is my understanding that UConn reviews applications monthly,  so most people get a response within 4-6 weeks of applying.  (I received an acceptance 4 weeks after I applied.)

They told me the same thing, about how often they review applications. But something must be wrong with application because I submitted my application in January and haven't heard anything.
