Published

Hey everyone! I plan on applying to Quinnipiac this August (2016) for the 2017 start. I was wondering if there was anyone else interested in the program, how your grades are, or if there's anyone in the program now or in the past that has any information they are willing to share. Thanks!!

my grades:

Micro: A-

Anatomy I: B+

Anatomy II: A

Statistics: A

Hey everyone!

I'm happy to have found this thread too. I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today and couldn't be more thrilled! I live in northwest CT and will be commuting an hour and 15 min. or so... I'm a little nervous about that, but I know I'll make it work. My first bachelors degree was in general studies and I've been working in food science developing organic food products and beverages. I'm relieved to hear that I'm not alone in having no health care experience.

Does anyone know the program schedule as far as days/hours?

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi everyone!

Been following this thread for a bit now, hesitant to join until tonight when I found out I was accepted! Congratulations to everyone, and good luck to those still waiting. Can't wait for fall!

Hey HappyHolisticRN !!!!

congrats on your acceptance ! I live in north west CT too, my trip is about an hour. I feel like we are the only ones coming from that far away lol! it would be nice though if we are both home and want to study fin yoj like studying in groups or something !

Hey! It eases my mind to know you'll understand my comute :) I live in New Milford, where do you live? And yeah, it'll be nice to have the option to study close to home sometimes! I'm Laura, by the way.

Hi everyone. I was accepted as well but waiting for my financial aid award to decide if i'll go or not. Anyone received theirs?

I live in Torrington!

I haven't received mine yet either. I heard they give out scholarships which will be helpful !

I'm not too far from you! I live in Woodbury, about 15m away.

@RNinthemaking2018 aww I love Woodbury! It's such a cute town. :) I drove through it every day when I took classes at NVCC.

Hi! @NurseAbena, I'm glad you brought up fin aid cause let's be honest it is expensive!! I am going to call the fin aid department on Monday to see what I can find out. I'm also applying for scholarships that are tailored to ABSN programs...

HappyHolisticRN, please share here what the fin aid department has to say after you call them! I think many of us are trying to figure out how to pay for this program.

fun!! I also took some classes at nvcc. My name is Mallory btw :)
