questions wrong

Nursing Students NCLEX

I know the NCLEX is computer adaptive and I was wondering if you can get questions wrong and still passed with 75 questions? I will be taking the NCLEX on the 21st of Feb and I am nervous about SATA???

The way it's been explained to me and from what I have read, the test is essentially looking for you to start averaging 50% right/wrong. Have your teachers shown you the graph of results for nclex? as long as you're answering higher level questions you'll be great. If all you get is low level questions but are getting them right, you may still not pass. If you're getting high level ones, even if you are getting some wrong, if the level of question is above passing then you're good.

Don't worry. I feel like I KNEW only 3 answers when I took mine last week, but I just found out today that I passed.

I took my RN nclex yesterday and i took all 265 ?s, i think that i had like 30 select all that apply and i even had 3 where i had to put on a headset and listen to lung sounds. I felt like i didnt know anything especially the meds. My teachers said that if you leave feeling like you did bad then you probably had harder level questions (which is what you want), and if you leave feeling good then the questions were probably easy. (Im sure this is not true in all cases)This is just how it was explained to me. I wish you well. My advice is to go in there and pretend that you have to take all 265 ?s even if you dont. Good luck!

Don't get too caught up worrying about the SATA questions. Just make sure you understand the concepts. You might luck out and not get any at all. Wishing you good luck.

You can definitely get questions wrong and pass at 75 questions. I passed with 75 and I know that I didnt get all 75 correct! Who would? I know when we took our RN predictor, they wanted us to get at least an 82% on it, which predicted you had a 99% chance of passing the first time, so I am assuming that that means you could get about 13 questions wrong and still pass at 75 (75*.82= 61.5 , and 75 -61.5=13.5). Thats just my theory...I could be wrong, but its how I compared how well I was doing on practice questions if I got higher than that. I hope that helps!
