Questions about St. Vincents

U.S.A. Connecticut

Published

Hi Everyone,

I will hopefully be starting the Nursing program in Jan 2007 at Wright Tech technical school, but in case I am not accepted, I would like to have a back up plan. Can anyone give me insight on the Nursing program at St. Vincents? Do they offer evening courses? How much does the program cost? Is there a waiting list to enter the Nursing program? And do they choose the people with the top GPA's first? Thanks everyone!

I am currently enroll at St Vincents College. I am in the evening program.

The cost depends on how many credits you are transfering. It is a private school; therefore more expensive then Gateway Community College. You can check the website to get more information about open house. If you need any other assistance, please send a private message.

Good luck to you.

Overall so far how do you like the school and hows is the nursing program? I am interested in this school , but i am a little apprehensive being that I live in NYC and all the traveling back and forth, but I would love to hear your experience thus far

So far, it is a great school. I like my evening instructor Ed, he is awesome. My clinicals are on Satudays 7-2:30pm with one 15 minutes break and a 30 minutes break. There is one student in clinical who commutes from Massachussetts. The evening is one night of lecture and Thursday assessments. Assessment is about one hour from 5:30pm until 6:30, depends on the clinical instructors you have. You get to choose at the beginning. My experience so far, has been great. I have nothing but good things to say about St Vincents.
