questions about "LapBand" procedure

Hi, Everyone! Although I'm familiar with the "LapBand" procedure as far as the surgery goes, do any of you know of anyone who has had the procedure done? I have a very dear friend who is considering it and she is asking me what to expect post-op. Don't know it's effectiveness or complications. I do know that it is much less traumatic and is reversible. Is there any other info that you can provide? Thank You!

Most surgeons have informational sessions that your friend can attend and he or she can answer all those questions prior to the surgery or even before making the decision to do it. If the surgeon doesn't I sure wouldn't go with them.
