Does NECLEX remember you from a previous NECLEX test? Does NECLEX remember what questions you passed on the previous test? Does it start where you left off on the last test if you did not pass?
Thank You

I believe that NCLEX assumes each time you test that it is your first time, and has no knowledge of which questions you answered on previous testing attempts.

It does remember you.. according to the NCLEX website and the paperwork I saw.. you will NOT be given the same questions again.. it has a major pool of questions and so you will not see the exact same questions again..

We were told that nclex does remember you. Say for example you failed the boards the first time and you were way below the "passing level" (and again, this is just an example!) Then the 2nd time you take your boards you start out with the same 'level of difficulity' question as you left off with. So you would then have to work your way back up to the harder questions.
As far as getting the same exact questions, I know I read somewhere that nclex will never ask you the same exact question twice. However, it can ask you two different questions about the same med/disease, or questions that are very similar. It said that if you do get two questions that are similar/about the same thing, not to freak out and assume that you got the first question wrong.
I hope this helps!
