I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?

I guess the pearson "trick" really does work. 75 questions on tuesday and on thursday.. FAIL! I am in shock.. my brain is on fire. I don't know what to do next?? I don't know anyone that didn't pass. I must have stressed myself out with my 10hr. study days. I'm sooooo SAD!!! :sniff:

Just took the NCLEX today. My computer shut off at 75 and I begged it to give me more questions. I'm pretty sure I FAILED. I didn't know half of those questions, I felt like I guessed on most of them. I tried to use everything I learned from KAplan and it just didn't work out. It took me two hours and 15 minutes. I don't know what to do right now, I just wanna curl up and cry all day!!!!!!

pinkygirll, do not despair,i too took nclex the first time in may this yrand failed, had never failed any class in college so this came as a depressing shock to me.but here is what i did.i knew where i had gone wrong, ie using easy to understand review books such as saunders, dont get me wrong, saunders can be very good but when it comes to the actual nclex level qs, you want to use such books as mosby, exam cram, lippincott and also if you can get your hands on nclex 4000 you d be doing yourself a huge favor.i too studied for hrs and hrs on end but honestly if you are using the wrong text/lower level review material, you are likely not to pass.i am not saying thats what you did but from my personal experience,i suggest you use mosby and exam cram together.i know some people say to use one review book/cd but it helps to use several study aids.i did my nurse training in the united kingdom where they use a totally different system and no doubt i failed the first time but i got myself back up,worked hard, and passed on the second attempt.your husband is right,45days will soon pass, just mentally prepare yourself for the task ahead and you will make it.also, dont forget to do the things you love to do still, make time for some fun activities and take a day off or 2 just to give the brain time to take stuff in.

if you feel like you are struggling, seek personal tutoring.i hope this helps and i m sorry you didnt make it this time but you will be an RN one day.

i will be appearing for the nclex this tuesday and i am in a terrible state ..

i am just not sure if my preparation is enough .. i have scored 66% over all in Q bank some times my scores were too inconsistent to rely on them .. i did solve mosby's as well .. and also doing the prioritization book .. i am so worried i dont know where i stand and if my preparation is enough .. i have read a lot of threads where insipte of all the studies they havent made it ,, please guys give me some tips .. and help me before this big day ...

When I think about that test I am still a little puzzled. 75 questions, almost all of them on the same topic, and I passed. But I walked out feeling like there was no way they could have accurately assessed my competency with those pathetic 75 questions.

Oh well. I'm an RN. lol

I must say that God made it possible and Kaplan was a good choice for me, a little expensive but worth it!!! I had an average of 15 SAP questions and I almost trewup! I was soo nervious, I was hoping to get more questions because I didnt felt confident at all... But it shut off at 75 questions and I was so sad, I cried when I left and I sword I failed! But I had results next day= PASS!! What a releive, Im an official RN. Thank you Lord, never would have made it without you....

You will do great! I took Kaplan and I scored in the mid 50s on the Qbanks, and Question trainer I had an average of 63%. And the rediness test I scored a 69%... So yes, feel confident you will make it. I passed with 75 questions! Please review the SAP questions to be 100% confident... ?

I passed with 75 questions but I honestly freaked because my questions all seemed to be about drugs that I have never heard of ( they even said the brand new drug....ahhhh) but I relaxed in the fact I was sure that I didnt miss enough questions that fast to fail.

I took Nclex RN 2 days ago, and checked the pearsonvue trick and message says OUR RECORDS INDICATE THAT YOU ALREAdY EXISTS IN OUR SYSTEM, Does anybody got the same message? does anybody knows what does this message means.

I just took the test Nov. 30. The quick results aren't even posted yet on the Pearsonvue site BUT the PA board has my license in the license verification online so I passed! I even called to make sure because I couldn't believe I passed. I was taking it to have my inactive license re-activated. So I am out of the loop compared to you new grads. However everything people say about the test cutting off at 75 is TRUE. I was convinced I failed and told my whole family I failed. I started getting nervous when I arrived at the testing center and was fingerprinted, and palm vein scanned etc. It was very unnerving. I didn't know the first question. I got completely psyched out. NOTHING seemed right. NOTHING seemed familiar. By the end of the test my face was hot and I was a basket case. When that blue screen came up after question 75 I knew I had failed but I was glad it was all over. I still can hardly believe I passed. It seemed like the most I could have possibly gotten correct was 3. I am not kidding! I cried in the parking garage. I cannot understand how the test measures what you know. the whole experience was baffling. I'm just so glad I passed. I would never have thought to go to the PA BON site to see if I passed unless I had read it on this site. If you live in PA - go to the website- it is great. I took the test at 1:15 on Mon and by Tue at 2 PM my license was active.

i took my nclex about 12 hours ago. i studied tons of questions and thought i was prepared, but i had no idea of what was to come. i had so many meds, check all that apply, and hard questions. my computer shut off at 75 and i knew it would because i think i knew 2 questions on that entire test. it is a 5 hour test and it took me only 1 hour. everyone said it wasn't that hard, but it was the hardest test of my life and feel like such a failure. these will be the most stressful 2 days of my life and to know that a negative outcome is coming is terrifying. :sniff:
