I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?

Apparently rushing my transcripts was a great idea.

Just looked up my name on the CA BRN this morning, and it's official:

I passed.

I'm gonna go hiking now. :)

Took 75 questions tuesday and passed today. :yeah:

hi ! congrats!

i entered the site to check comments about nclex takers. i would like to ask regarding the reaaplication exam with the new mexico state board of nursing? i happen to check the site of NM state board nursing and the amount written was $60 under reexamination fee.. after paying that should i pay again with the pearson vue? is that the $350 and $150 again? or is that the examination fee of $150 only? please clarify me with the pearson level? thanks

Today I took my NCLEX and had 75 questions. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! I felt like I had just been beat up. I have been crying all night because I know I failed!!! This is the worst waiting period of my life!!! I did the "Pearson" trick and it wouldn't let me register. But who knows if that really works! I really need support!!! I have been praying for days!!! I had a lot of the same questions everyone else had but no math questions. I thought you had to have at least one? This is so bad! How can I keep my mind off this!? Help

:icon_hug:Sadstephie, in a few days you will probably have to change your name. I just knew I had failed royally. Would not have bet money on more than one answer I gave at the time I was giving them. I wanted to beg the computer to give me more questions. I looked on line 3 days later and couldn't get in, so I picked up the phone and dialed the number, then a robot came on saying no information available. This continued every 10 minutes until suddenly I got a aq lot of elevator music. I heard it as a dirge. The the robot came on and said "Congratualtions, you have passed!" OMG! I thanked the robot profusely! I was amazed. Three months later I was thinking to myself....."Now why was it that I wanted to be a nurse???" Nowadays I wouldn't trade it, no way, but the first 8-9 months was hell, just as bad as you hear it can be, but the learning curve is steep and the rewards are many.

Take care, and report back!

Thanks Mahage!!! I did pass!!! The world is great and so is God!! : )

I don't understand why we don't get immediate feedback after the test?

Mine stopped at 75 and I passed. You can tell by how hard the questions are is what I was told. If they continue to get harder and harder then you are doing good!

Hello. I just took the Nclex-RN Wed. the 8th. My friend took it Tuesday the 7th. We both got 75 questions. We both took Kaplan and both did well (in the 60's on their tests). I got about 6 SATA, he got about 12. Two others from our school who took it tuesday as well already found out on the BRN website that they passed! We have not! We live in California and can not find out quickly through pearson vue. Both of us just have this feeling that there is no way would could have failed the test that bad (in only 75 questions)! Plus, we were both getting SATA throughout the test, which would mean that we were above the passing level I would think. Our questions were both Application/Analysis questions with only a few knowledge based questions. The only alternative type questions we got were the SATA's. Well, both of us are quite concerned because other peoples have posted and ours have not....anyone have any thoughts? Does it some times take longer than the 3 days that it takes for most people to post on the BRN?

Ok...So I just read about the pearson "trick" Is this thing really true? I just took it 4 days ago, and it says delivery successful under my pearson Account. I tried to register to take it again, and it says that I can not because I have already registered to take the test...how reliable is this form of pass/fail verification?

Will be able to check my results in 3 hours...I feel like my stomach coming up my throat!

Although it stopped at 75, I dont feel too confident...I felt the questions they were giving me were easy, pretty straight fwd questions...but not to say I got em right.....My sister said, I probably thought they were easy but to someone else they are hard.

I got about 3 SATA, 3-4 infection control, few priority questions, 1 calculations, few medications and their side effects...I know I got the last question right...

Im just going crazy here..:sofahider

I took my NCLEX two days ago. While going through the questions, there were many drugs and diseases on there that I had never heard of, and I began to realize that I was guessing on a lot of questions. Needless to say, when it shut off at 75 questions, I almost had a heart attack. I was CERTAIN I had failed. I left the testing center wondering what I had just done, and why didn't I just study harder? (And I practiced with hundreds of questions by the way....) I was so depressed over the next couple of days, crying and pretty much giving myself an ulcer (and quite a few breakouts!). When I checked my quick results after 48 hours.... I had passed!? The NCLEX was awful and if I had had to bet my life on it, I would have said that I failed. For those of you that just took it, only to come home and google "Fail NCLEX 75 questions" (as I did), I hope that my story will offer you some hope, as I DID pass!! :nurse: :wink2: Alexis, RN
