I just took NCLEX-RN and passed in 75 questions in an hour. I used Kaplan Q-bank and Lacharity PDA as my primary study tools and felt they prepared me very well for the style of questions they asked. I also recommend the NCLEX RN Mastery app. It is great for content and has a ton of SATA (probably around 500). Good luck! You will feel great when it is over. I just found out I passed!
I feel that it can only help to use multiple resources, but really focusing on Q-bank and Lacharity worked well for me. I have found it to be the general consensus that Saunder's is the best for content. I had Saunder's and used it to review for tests in Nursing school (it is excellent), but I did not really use it to study for the exam due to time constraints as I only had about three weeks to get ready (I graduated May 16th), so I did not hit content as hard as I would have liked to. There are definitely two separate paths to take for success it seems. Learning how to (1) analyze questions and (2) the actual content (which you probably have a pretty good grasp on from nursing school). I don't think that you can realistically hope to learn everything you would like to know for the test (which is why I spent my limited time with Kaplan and Lacharity), but if you can break down the question well, you will probably figure the best answer out. I feel that Kaplan teaches you how to analyze a question, and PDA is great for prioritization. There is also a 38 page review on here (look around and you will find it) that is helpful that really hits on key points well. I wish I could thank the person that wrote it! Good luck and remember that 85% of people pass the first time and it really isn't as bad as it is made out to be. If you prepare, you will most certainly pass. Also take it soon! You are most likely well prepared by your school, and you are losing that knowledge the longer you wait (also think of the potential paychecks, which was the deciding factor for me). Good luck!
I did Hurst Audio for review and Kaplan to actually study. I liked it, gets your familiarized with Nclex so the day of the scenarios looked familiar, but I personally needed to review a lot of content so I'm glad I did hurst. Another thing about Kaplan is that it's made so you get trained to sit for longer amounts of time . The question trainers get longer, and it teaches you strategy which is awesome because it's impossible to know everything .
Wish you the best!

Hello,
I am considering buying Kaplans Q-Bank for the 1 month. However I want to ask a few questions before I do:
1. Does it offer alternate style questions and if so all of them (not just SATA)? Like does it have hot spots, ordering questions, listening questions etc?
2. It says it is 1 month.... but if I buy it lets say June 10th, will I have it until July 10th? Or is it exactly 3/4 weeks from when you buy it?
3. Lastly I saw underneath that you can get your money back if you do not pass, is that really true?
4. Did you like it/did it help you pass??
Thanks!
