Questions about Kaplan QBank

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello,

I am considering buying Kaplans Q-Bank for the 1 month. However I want to ask a few questions before I do:

1. Does it offer alternate style questions and if so all of them (not just SATA)? Like does it have hot spots, ordering questions, listening questions etc?

2. It says it is 1 month.... but if I buy it lets say June 10th, will I have it until July 10th? Or is it exactly 3/4 weeks from when you buy it?

3. Lastly I saw underneath that you can get your money back if you do not pass, is that really true?

4. Did you like it/did it help you pass??

Thanks!

Good luck with studying!! You're going to do great! Check out my thread for a full review on the tools I used (mostly Kaplan Qbank)

1. It offers SATA, hot spots, EKG, and ordering questions. No audio and I did all the questions in the Qbank.

2. It is exactly 1 month from the day you purchase it.

3. I saw the money back thing too, but I'm not sure if it is guaranteed for the Qbank or you had to have purchased the content portion with it. I passed my exam so I don't know and you will too!

4. I loved it a lot! I feel it was the one that helped me out the most out of all my study tools. It's a lot like the NCLEX. Read over rationales even for the questions you got right.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I just purchased it yesterday, I've only done 110 questions so far and have 50% right :/ not sure if this is terrible or just okay... I hope I can get up to 60s/70s by test time ( I have 4 weeks till my test!!)

Don't get discouraged!! Kaplan questions are all upper level so as long as you are getting 1/2 of them right you are good to go. I know you'll read somewhere that Kaplan deems 60% or above as the score you want to aim for, but 50% right now is good! 60% or above is very beyond the passing standard. You have 4 weeks!! Practice questions, review rationale, oh and get the NCLEX-RN Mastery App!

Do as many question a day as it takes to get through all of the qbank and trainers at least a week prior to the nclex. Don't forget to remediate the questions and then take the trainers again in the week before you test. I scored in the 50-60% range the first time and 70-80% after remediating. I passed the nclex 1st try w/180 questions.

Good Luck

Unfortunately i dont have access to the q trainers, its just the 1300 question q bank for a month. But i do plan to do all questions and repeat as many as possible after i finish the first time!! Thanks for advice!
