hello :)

i am a canadian citizen in high school currently studying aboard, and i am planning to attend nursing schools in canada.

i recently contacted the nursing school; they informed me that i should take pre-nursing

before entering bscn and here are some questions i want to ask:

what are the prerequisite i need to know before entering pre-nursing?

how is pre-nursing helpful for bscn?

:nurse: here are some schools that i am considering to apply to:

algonquin college bscn collaborative program with (u of ottawa)

mohawk college bscn collaborative program with (mcmaster)

university of ottawa

mcmaster university

york university

i would love to hear some thoughts about these schools :heartbeat

You would need to contact the BSN program to find out what the prerequisites are. Each program is slightly different. I know that U of Toronto has a prerequisite that is comprised of 10 full university courses including human physiology, life sciences, social sciences, humanities, and statistics, plus six more 100 level courses.

The Ontario Ministry of Education has course descriptions and curriculums for all elementary and secondary grades, you can review the grade 12 curriculums to see how they compare to your international high school education

Or you can pay for a third party credentialing service to help assess your education http://www.wes.org/ca/students/index.asp
