Unit manager questions:

What shifts will I be required to work?

What further education will I be required to complete?

How many new nurses are there on this unit compared to experienced nurses?

What type of patients will I be caring for and can I achieve special certification through this facility? (specialty units usually do have special certification related to their type of patients)

Will I have orientation days with respiratory team and IV team?

HR questions

When will my health care benefits start?

How often do you pay? weekly, biweekly?

Do you have direct deposit and will you deposit in more than one account?

Do you have a flex benefit program?

How do I sign up for a retirement plan 401K etc, what percentage will the hospital match?

Do you have a credit union?

Do you have a career ladder? What level will I start at and how do I advance? At what level do I become salary paid versus hourly paid?

when can i start!!??

thats the only question you need to ask...

you do research and learn allllllllll about the job before you apply...

*snowfreeze* is exactly right... on the question thingie

but...

you should research that and already know that before you ever even go for an interview.....

nice snowfreeze.... :)

oh... just FYI... if you ask all those ?'s during an interview..

you wont get hired....

Forgot the most important one... 'Does the hospital have a contract with Press-Ganey?'

Or, you could be a bit sneakier and get a more honest answer... Look all excited and ask what they do to assure good "customer service"
