Questions about applying for job

This may sound a little odd, but I have a question about the actual application process.

I've seen a lot of information that says you should send a resume with a cover letter, in addition to the application, to both HR and the nurse manager of the unit for which you are applying. The hospital where I am planning to apply take it's applications online. So, I was wondering how to go about sending it to the nurse manager? Should I try to get her email address, or try somehow to print it out and send it snail mail? Just wondering what others have done :)

From my exp.. If the app is online, it did me no go to send my resume to the nurse manager b/c she just forwarded it to HR. But thats just me. Good luck!
