Question!!

hello.
i would like to ask if you need to complete all the requirements and bring the photocopy of your high school diploma as well as your college diploma when going to US embassy for notarization??
because m not from Manila so i have to get on a plane to go there and i dont want to have anything missing...
can you give me any advice or info regarding the notarization?

need more information about your question...your applying for what? pls. be specific. notarization for what?

oh..

in the ny-cvs form and nt application form, there is a need for a notarization from US embassy.. (stamp thing)...

i just want to ask what do you need to bring other than the application forms..

I suggest follow the procedure in processing that form. did they ask to bring your transcripts? etc?

no they didn't.

it is not written in the application form..

cvs-ny is for my transcript.. so i dont need to bring my transcript though...

the notarization stamp will be placed in the application form..

so all i need to bring is the completed form of my application form?

All you need is the application forms to be notarized. This is true for any documents for notarization.

Where are you coming from?

I actually know someone that have it notarized in their local (City of Manila) government unit. There were no problems. He is actually licensed for the State of NY already. I'm not absolutely sure if this is accepted routinely but if you would look at the application forms it didn't specifically say that it has to be notarized in a US embassy if from a foreign land. You may wish to contact CGFNS about it to be sure. You may use a budget phone card.

Of course, if you want to be sure then have it notarized at the US embassy but if you are coming from a far away province you may want to ask CGFNS about your concerns first.

That would be the sure thing to do just like I said above. However, you mentioned that you will be coming from a far province. Wouldn't it be practical to ask CGFNS 1st about your concerns using a P100 budget card before riding a plane to Manila?

With all of the issues going on about documents that have been forged, etc., the safest route is to have anyhting notorized for CGFNS by the US Embassy, or youi stand the chance of it being sent back to you.

Not something to fool with.

And for the person that is a NY notary, how do you know that for sure? Sorry, but just playing the devil's advocate here.
