Hello all!
So.. perhaps (I hope!) someone has heard of this...
Ever since I started nursing, I've noticed I have SEVERE (10/10) shoulder pain after work. I can't lift my arms above my head and I can't lay on my side to sleep because my shoulders ache so bad. Has anyone ever heard/seen this? My body mechanics are good for moving patients up in bed etc. This has been going on for about 2 years. The pain hurts for days after I stop working, but slowly and gradually falls away. Hope to hear maybe some advice or answers! Thanks!

You need to visit your physician or an orthopedic surgeon for an evaluation and treatment recommendations. This is not typical. 10/10 pain after work is never normal and requires assessment and intervention. We cannot offer medical advice per site ToS

The previous poster is correct. The membership at Allnurses.com is not permitted to provide medical advice regarding your painful shoulder. Please be evaluated by a physician as soon as possible. We hope you start feeling better soon!
