ok to whomever owns this book...look on page 30 where they are discussing testing strategies in box 5-14.....
the client with hypertrophic pyloric stenosis usually presents with projectile vomiting therefore is alkalotic, so shouldnt the answer be 2 and not 1?

Yeah, I think the answer should be 2.) A blood PH of 7.50. Weird typo probably.

I have the older 4th edition Saunders. They probably finally caught the error & fixed it :)

I remember going through saunder's Questions and having a question with a few wrong answers. I guess it's just a way to keep us on our toes!

Sometimes you can find a listing of errata posted on the book's website or you can contact the publisher and there will be a list you can obtain.

You know what, I have seen a few errors on the Saunders cd-rom. I select one answer and it said I had it wrong, but I go back to the book to check it because I remember reading different and the book will say something that agree different then the cd-rom. I haven't seen that many errors on the cd-rom, but maybe 2-3.
