Hi,
I'm planning on applying to Pace's accelerated program, and I'm currently in the process of taking prerequistes. However, on Pace's website, it says that one of the prerequisites is a 3-credit Introduction to Chemistry (Chem101), however, the only class I can take at my current school, SUNY New Paltz, is a 4-credit General Chemistry I (w/lab) class in my area. Would that be okay to take instead of the 3-credit class, or does it have to be that particular class?
Thanks again,

Best bet is to call the school and ask but i would think that it is ok. the class is 4 credits because it includes a lab. if not, it would be a 3 credit course

I'd call- but I can't see why they wouldn't allow a class that is more intensive and covers more material plus a lab. That would be kind of silly.
Having said that, I hated General Chemistry w/lab. If I'd have looked all over town for an intro class if they'd allowed it! :)

Taking a 4-credit science class is ALWAYS better than taking a 3-credit one, especially if you want to continue your education beyond the ASN/BSN level.
I cannot imagine any accredited school refusing a science course with a lab component over an equivalent one without a lab.
Alright, thanks guys! I eventually decided to call them and they were like, "yeah, sure!" I surprised at how nice they were lol.
