Hi,
I know this is a forum for the UK but there doesn't seem to be one for france. I was wondering if any of you knew of the name of the place in northern france were @ low tide & only during certain months the ocean receeds between mainland & an island w/ a cathedral??? Once this happens, you can can walk all the way to the island w/ a guide & apparently there's quick sand everywhere???????? I saw this on a traveling show I was watching & cannot remember the name of the place for the life of me. Thanks bunches!!!!

Belinda-Wales and I have been there three times over the last 8 years. You really have to witness the speed of the tide coming into the estuary to believe it - it's phrased as 'the speed of a galloping horse' and is an awesome experience.
If you go, check the tide times as they can often be later in the evening and means that you don't have to spend all day there.
Cheers

you guys rock! thanks for the help!!! I saw that on a show & was like "there goes another place that I DEFINITELY have to travel to before I die!!!" I'll check out those sites.
