Hi there...

I just wanna ask if when did that retrogression took effect?

And is it possible for you to work in other countries for the meantime then decide to trasfer to the US after the retrogression has been lifted?

retrogression started last October

hello again,,question again but its about IELTS, because of retrogression, i think i should take first IELTS before nclex, because i have relatives in canada so i think i can work there when there are still retrogression...do you think my decision is correct,, what can you say? and does IELTS is lifetime, i mean does it have expiration???

Need some advice, pls...

IELTS expires in two years just like TOEFL.

Thank you sir,

hmmm one more thing.

Do you have any wild guess when it would be lifted?

not got a clue but demand from Philippines, India, China and Mexico is very high so may, even if lifted, have some sort of impact

I have been an RN for more than 20 years here in SF, Calif. Ouch, that's makes me feel old just typing this reply!

My advice to you is to study very, very, very hard for your NCLEX. During my time, I studied for almost 8 hours a day, 7 days a week for six months. I did that while I was working as an Licensed Vocational Nurse here in San Francisco, California. Thank God, I passed it on my first try.

Try your very best to pass the NCLEX. Take it from me, your income is limited only by how much your body can take. The overtime is almost unlimited. There are staff nurses in our hospital who make as much as $120,000 per year. You don't believe me? Just ask any Balikbayan RN who works in California, NY State, NJ or any other major state.

I have a former classmate whom I had a pleasure of meeting again in 2003 in Manila. She told me that as a nursing supervisor in Saudi Arabia she earns $1,000 per month. OK, that's pretty good, but wouldn't you rather make 8-10 times more?

The only disadvantage is of course the high taxes here in the USA, not to mention the high cost of living. But as an RN you are almost guaranteed an upper middle income lifestyle. That means a house, 2 cars or more, maybe even a Lexus or a Mercedes Benz. Hey, you will be working hard, you might as well enjoy your earnings.

Good luck to you, and study hard, OK?

i maybe a newbie...just working as a nurse for a year, i don't have any mercedez or lexus ( i am happy with my 2 years old camry)....with all that hardwork to get my bsn and passing my nclexrn? now i do feel biiiiig the difference in my paycheck now. i remember working 40 hours a week before i graduated from school.. yet every payday, after paying all my bills? i got only $50.00 left in my pocket!! but now? i have enough to pay the bills and save the leftover to the piggy bank...who knows? one of these days i will go on big time shopping spree!!! :lol2: never give up on your dreams, if you want it, work hard, and get it!!!

hello to all.. especially to those who share their experiences because you inspire me so much...someday i know i will be like you, i want to be like you... :roll

im also a newbie.. i recently passed the local board this june and now i'm working as a volunteer nurse, though, i really want to work with pay, hospitals nowadays require applicants to undergo volunteer as a trainee first.. at the same time im also doing self review for my nclex after my work. its kinda hard studying after a tiring duty but i know i can surpass all these and work as a nurse in USA....

i can beat retrogression and everything... this positive attitude helps me to be up always and reach my goals... and i've been positive because of you guys who are now successful who share your experiences and give us information to help newbies like me...

Thank you so much,,i really appreciate it..gO! aja!

Hi! Just like you,I am a newly graduate of nursing and passed the NLE last June 2007. I am working in a call center now. Working here isn't actually a bad idea at all. Thou I also agree to the others who prefer not to work here. I can say that I gained an advantage since I worked in this company. There are trainings for English grammar which I think are very helpful when I take the IELTS exam. Aside of course from the the monthly income I am getting while waiting for my license.. Just want to share yu my experience. =)

Good luck to us!!! God Bless!

hello people... i recently passed NLE2007... and as of now i am waiting for my eligibility to sit for nclex, and while waiting im having practice tests for ielts. i want to take ielts this October, after ielts i will start studying for nclex though im not sure if i can receive my eligibility by next month, still i am hopeful... i want 2 work in USA so i can earn money because i have a lot of plans, a lot of lists of persons that i would like to help.

I want to help my sister in her computer shop business, i want to add more computer in her shop as well as improve her place, a cafeteria on the 2nd floor would be nice since her place is near a school campus... then i would like to help my cousin and my friend in their academics, they are planning not to enroll this coming october because of financial issues so i would like to help them in paying their tuition fees added to that i want to give my friend a small business enough to give her and her family food for everyday, the friend i was talking about is a blind girl who married a blind man they just got married last month and they are both working in a spa... see how determined they were? and also i want to help my mom in paying her debts because of us... since my father died 3 years ago coz of cancer she is the only one supporting me and my sisters financially... and last but not the least, i want to treat my mom and my sister, a vacation trip would be good i think... hehe just want to share my plans with you guys,,,

god bless everyone...;)
