Hi all,

I have not taken my NET test yet and I was just wondering how the math part of it is. Is there alot of algebra or more basic math? I am not very good at math so I am a little nervous.:uhoh21:

It's not bad at all....I took it last year so I can't remember how much algebra was on it (think it's more basic math than anything).

I picked up the NET study guide (ISBN 0-9675446-0-2) b/c I had NO CLUE what to expect. The questions in that study guide and even the passages for reading comprehension are basically word for word on the test.

Good luck! You'll do fine tho!

Thank you for the kind words and telling me about that book. :)

Not a problem at all! Glad to help :)

Good luck on the test! But u shouldn't need it, it's a BREEZE (just read the instructions :) )

I took the NET on the 17th...and it was very, very easy. There was more basic math than I expected. The last 4 questions were algebra....lol. I studied from one the SAT review books by ARCO. Good Luck

Just took it a month agao-refresh yourself on percents, decimals, fractions and basic algerbra and you should do fine. Buying a NET prep book will help you loads and make you feel confident! Good luck!

It has basic addition, decimals, and basic percentages. I think I remember 3 algebra questions.

The entire test was a no-brainer.

It is a very simple test. Not at all difficult. you will do great on it.

How was the fractions;were they addition, subtractions,or all mixed? Thanks Missy

As far as the fractions it seems like there were mixed....a little bit of everything. I suggest the NET study guide if you feel you need a refresher.

Know your fractions well...adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing....there are a lot of fractions on there. It's not a hard test. Check your school testing center, sometimes they carry the study guide & you can check it out to study if you feel the need.

Thanks I need to study its been 11 years;since i have been in school.I got a pre-entrance book, but I didnt know if I should study mostly algrebra or fractions. So you really helped me know what to study. THANKS AWHOLE BUNCH! Missy
