Hello there,
I am a licensed NJ Practical Nurse, Been working since I got my license in Oct. I am not far from NY, and Have been looking for the application for endorsement. However, I had a question, hopefully someone can clarify. There is a section which the "licensing authority" must fill out, and "they" must send it in to the NY Office of Professions, (not the applicant). So what exactly is the licensing authority? Would it be NJ Dept of health , in my case? Since I am licensed in NJ? I am goign to call the number for NY Licensing questions, but I thought I might get a response on here over the weekend. And if anyone has any other comments about working NY that they woudl like to share, I'd be happy for the advice.
Thanks!

NY and NJ have always had reciprocity. Just fill out your part of the form and send it to the agency that issues NJ licenses. They will send an official report to NY and you will be licensed in NY. It's a very simple procedure.
I was licensed in both States before I retired.
ok, Thank you, but I'm just trying to figure out where to find the exact address for that NJ licensing agency. I dont want it to end up in the wrong section of some building. LOL =(. it's probably some where really simple , but I just can't seem to find it
As I review my NJ license from 1985, I find the
following address:
State of New Jersey
Division of Consumer Affairs
Richard Hughes Justice Complex
25 Market St 3rd fl
Trenton Nj 08625
Good Luck !!

In addition, they have a telephone
number for any inquiries:

Yes! Thanks so much, you really helped,
